Anyone help with James Briggs? http://scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/viewtopic.php?t=694

I cannot find a MIC card for him but with DCM and MM we should be able to find something. If he served with Royal Scots Fusiliers and died in 1921, then he should be on CWGC regardless of the fact that he was a constable at time of death, shouldn't he?

I've added his MIC to the Sorbie thread.

I would suggest that as he was a demobbed soldier then he would not be recognised by the CWGC.

Terry Denham on the GWF is a font of knowledge regarding CWGC and criteria for acceptance. Has anyone asked?

I read a post on GWF the other day that Terry had stepped down - I don't know whether that's just from being a 'high-heid yin' or ordinary member?

He is still on the forum, just not as a mod.

His death in 1921 could only qualify if he died of a service related cause following medical discharge, of if he was still serving.
Clearly that is not the case as he was a civilian policeman.

Looking at the other thread, his death was not related to his war service, so doesn't qualify for CWGC.

For "housekeeping" reasons I will now lock this thread unless anyone has anything further to add, in which case please send me a PM.
