I'm not too sure whether I should make my first 'hello' post here? This evening I was talking to my 89 year old aunt and she made mention of the fact that her first husband's details (Joseph McConnell) were on the Commonwealth War Grave site (a granddaughter had told her). I said I would gather as much information as I could and forward it on to her. I stumbled across this excellent site and eagerly scrolled through to see if the memorial stone for Joseph was included; it was not. Does this mean that one doesn't exist for him or that it has still to be discovered?
Regards

Hello Maureen,
Welcome to the Forum!
I'm the guilty party here - I started photographing Riddrie Park at the beginning of summer and between one thing and another, I haven't managed to get back to do more.
To date, only the oldest sections have been surveyed (Section A - Section D and part of Section E). The remainder of the Sections are in the newer half of Riddrie which I've still to do. I don't know if there will definately be a stone, but I'll put it at the top of my list and as soon as I find it (or not), I'll send you a message. Riddrie Park is huge and I try to cover each section as thoroughly as I can before moving on to the next.
I'll try and get along soon and Joseph's stone will get top priority.
