The inscription states that Pte. Ribbeck died at Gailes Camp Military Hospital.

Name: ROSS, HUGH
Initials: H
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Captain
Regiment/Service: Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)
Unit Text: 6th Bn.
Age: 23

I have left the wee stone on the left as it bears the Cameronians crest also. It's possible that Hugh and Alexander Bell Ross were brothers as there's only eight years between them. Also, Hugh's details from CWGC show that his mother's maiden name was Bell, Alexander's middle name.
