On closer inspection I was able to decipher this one Derek

The stone refers to 1st Black Watch casualty John Logie Gaudie, 'only and beloved son' of James Gaudie, postmaster of Montrose, who fell in action at Flers, France, on 25th September 1916.

He is listed on the War Memorial in Montrose.
